Book Review

Ever since I met Hilton Burke, CEO of Burke Pharmaceuticals, and Cathal McKinley, his head of security, in book one of the 'Why I Love' series, I've been waiting to get to their story. I mean, seriously, people, what could possibly be better than two very strong, stubborn alpha males? I couldn't wait to see how they finally dealt with all that sexual tension that just ignites whenever they're in the same room. Wow. *fanning myself*

I adored Hilton and Cathal from the moment I met them. Mainly because neither one of them could ever hide their fondness and exasperation with Herb. Since I adore Herb, well, there you have it. It was fun to watch these two men, who've been employer and employee, break out of those molds—a little at a time. When Hilton flies to Montana to help Cathal with his family problems, it brings a bit of a wall down, which enables them to interact in a way that's different from their norm. It also, finally, lets them admit to their mutual attraction, while getting to know each other on a different level.

Cathal's sister is a drug addict, and pretty much worthless. Luckily, Cathal has guardianship for each of her five children, although his dad has been caring for them. Now, his dad is dying and Cathal has to handle the backlash. Looks like Cathal and Hilton are going to become insta parents. *snort* I really loved how they came together to build a family, especially when neither of them ever thought they'd have that.

This book was just as good as I had hoped. In fact, it's my favorite of the series, so far. I really liked that this installment focused so much on family. Good job, TA Chase!
