Tyler is a sexy young newbie to the New York City leather scene. When he eyes a muscled, masked stranger, his hunky best friend Andrés warns him to be careful due to the string of recent murders in the leather community.

The masked stranger hides more than his face, and that is revealed when you go back far enough. True evil is made, not born.

Book Review

Wow. I literally just finished this read and I know I'll never forget it. Just to preface this, I have not read Leather Head, so this was my first glimpse into this character, but it was a wild ride. I'm so intrigued to continue on!

This prequel begins on a regular club night in the city, rumors going around about a crazed leather killer on the loose. As far as Tyler is concerned, there's no way that the killer would be at this bar on this night, looking to hook up. So, when Tyler is entranced by the super hot, super built, tall piece of muscle in leather, he throws all worry out the window.

The story continues on with glimpses into Leather Head's past evenings out, past pickups, and past deviant activities. All stories combined, Leather Head is born and his past is revealed, shedding light on the evil that manifested inside of him. I was so caught up in the descriptive language and spellbinding story, I couldn't put it down. Be wary of goosebumps!

As a fan of Matt Converse's writing already, I was eager to try this out, even if blood, gore, and leather aren't typically my thing. The story is told so well and from such a unique perspective, I couldn't help but fall into it and hang on until it was over. It was definitely worth the time!
