Book Blurb

Can magic save them before it’s too late….

After the defeat of the Lowland Army, King Seran is still at large, and Torsere needs the Elves’ protection more than ever. Nykin returns to his duty as a dragon rider and accompanies Ryneq to the Elven city of Alel to witness the joining of their two realms through marriage.

As the wedding approaches, the dragons sense a malevolent presence lurking at Alel’s borders. Nykin and Fimor take to the skies to patrol the magical city, but as the evil grows more potent, the enchanted boundary surrounding Alel grows weaker.
Working alongside the elven guard, Nykin and Ryneq once again ride headfirst into danger as they struggle to protect Torsere from Seran’s thirst for revenge.

Book Review

Ryneq and Nykin are back in volume two of the ‘Torsere’ series – and with more danger then ever before. This book has more of fantasy by adding witches to go along with the elves and dragons. But are the witches on their side or are they part of the enemy that keeps coming for Torsere at every turn?

This story starts out where the first one left off with Nykin slowly beginning to recover after almost dying when trying to protect Ryneq.

After almost losing him, Ryneq faces the fact that Nykin means far too much to him and wants him as more then just someone to warm his bed occasionally. So he asks Nykin to be his consort. Nykin agrees because he has been half in love with the man far before their adventure together began.

With everything that happened on the way to the Elven kingdom, Ryneq’s sister pushed back the wedding to the Elven prince to give everyone time to heal and to make sure their kingdom was safe.

Now that everything is starting to get back to normal, the wedding has been scheduled again, but before they try to make the journey again, Ryneq and Nykin decide to make it official and have their own ceremony that means pretty much them being married as well. What is unexpected is the traitor amongst the king’s men finally being flushed out and the whispers of their enemy making a new move on them.

With this in mind, the king and his men come up with a plan to get the group that is traveling to the Elven community there safely and as quickly as possible in hopes of no new attacks.

What will happen when a new threat joins the mix with some very powerful, very old magic? Can Nykin help to keep those who have come to mean so much to him safe? Will Ryneq be able to figure out a way to keep not only the Elven community but also their kingdom safe at the same time?

This was such an amazing read! I loved it as much, if not more, than the first book. I truly look forward to the next installment in this series. I cannot wait to see what is to come next for Nykin and Ryneq! Another highly recommended read!
