Book Blurb

Stanley didn’t expect his life to change when he went jogging one night. Barely surviving a dog attack he woke in a strange bed with odd urges. He didn’t mind the sexy man hovering over him. In fact if Fen wished to join him in bed he’d have no objections.

Fenris wanted the alpha at his first growl. The sexy man’s commanding air and sweet smile were a combination out of Fen’s hottest dreams. Unfortunately family issues and outside forces tried to push the lovers apart and keep them from their happily ever after.

Faced with opposition Stanley did the only thing he could. He let everyone know that the new alpha on the block wouldn’t accept anyone getting between him and his man.

Book Review

From the first page to the end of the story, this book is funny, filled with snazzy dialogue, and full of crazy events that can only happen in a supernatural world where the rules of life are just slightly different from what we’re used to in real life. The characters are hilarious, yet strong-willed and loyal at the same time. Fenris and Stanley together are the ideal couple to lead a pack, but few of the other people in the story seem to agree. What they hadn’t counted on is Fen’s utter devotion to make Stan happy, and Stan’s determination to protect Fen. A match made in werewolf heaven!

Stan is an accountant who likes to go jogging, which is when a surprise attack by a wolf leads to him changing careers. He has no idea what is going on around him once he wakes up after the bite, nor does he understand his suddenly rebellious body. But being who he is, he adjusts rather quickly and begins to make his own rules. His father had plans for him? Too bad, Stan is his own man!

Fen may not be considered to be a strong wolf, but he knows what he wants, and he doesn’t take orders from anyone. Well, maybe from Stanley on occasion, but even that is mostly for show. He has some weird family connections of his own, but his focus is Stanley and the pack. As the perfect alpha mate, he runs Stan’s life, and has great fun doing it.

The secondary characters also deserve a mention. From Paul, the irrepressible jester, to Stan’s mother, who has a black belt and is the only one who can keep her husband in line, they are wonderful additions to a great story. Stan’s father is something else, as is Fen’s dad, and the two of them have more in common than either would like to admit – much to my amusement.

If you like werewolf stories with a good deal of humor, yet everything a good werewolf tale needs, if you enjoy reading about men who have to redefine their world when they are bitten and can suddenly change into a wolf at will, and if you’re looking for a read that is funny, entertaining, and very hot, then you will probably like this novella. It’s a sparkling breath of fresh air in a world usually filled with supernatural angst and drama!
