Kendall Shaw is in a rut. Sick of feeling like his dad’s personal puppet. Sick of being set up on less than stellar dates by so-called friends and family. Just plain sick of everything. That is, until Joe enters the equation.
Joe Butler has worked diligently to build his architecture business and reputation, which has just signed its biggest client to date. A law firm with endless connections in the greater Seattle area. Connections that could elevate his firm’s status.
When Kendall and Joe’s paths cross, sparks fly. But Joe has a strict no dating policy, especially when it comes to clients. But Kendall is relentless and refuses to accept no for an answer.
In this battle of wills, who will be the first to give in?
This is one of those feel-good sweet reads. I enjoyed this short story. There is definitely NO drama in this book. It’s not a very long read in the least, but sometimes you just need a short story that will put a smile on your face and this one is it! Though it is short, there is definitely enough information for me to enjoy this sweet read.
Kendall is one of those guys who has never been in a steady relationship. He has just not felt that connection with anyone to want to get to know them better or to want to see them more than once. So some believe he is a bachelor at heart. He loves his job in his dad’s law office. And as a matter of fact, his dad has him handling a deal with the new architect who is going to do the renovations at the law office.
At first Kendall decides this is not the architect for their firm, because the owner of the company is late for their very first meeting and that is something Kendall absolutely hates.
Joe is so flustered because being on time is one thing he always strives to do. But unfortunately, that is not the case the day he meets Kendall. Another thing that has always been solid for Joe is to never become involved with a client. But again, this is just not the case when he meets Kendall and an immediate attraction is there between the two of them.
How will things turn out with one man who never gets involved with a client and another who has never been in a relationship whatsoever? Will they or won’t they?
This was a good quick read. I always enjoy TL Travis’s work. The stories are always well laid out and such great reads.
