Book Blurb

When Shawn’s best mate Dave breaks up with his girlfriend, Shawn tries not to get his hopes up. After all, Dave’s still straight, right? Wrong. Dave reveals he’s bisexual, and that pounding you hear is Shawn’s heart. He’s loved Dave for so long, but he’s not about to jeopardize their friendship by telling Dave how he really feels.

But when Dave discovers Shawn’s little kink, it opens up a whole new chapter for the two friends. Except Shawn can’t help but worry – if there was no kink, would Dave be there? And is Shawn brave enough to find out?

A standalone short story of lust, lace – and love….

Book Review

The setup for this lovely story is pretty straightforward: two best friends, one already in love with the other, then the other figures out he is bisexual instead of straight. Add a little kink with lots of sensuality, uncertainty about the right way to move forward on both sides, and a distinct lack of communication skills – and you end up with lots of drama, some very hot scenes, and the beginning to what looks to be a wonderful relationship.

Shawn has loved Dave for years, but always thought Dave is straight. Dave has been best friends with Shawn, but believed he is only interested in women. Once Dave’s latest girlfriend dumps him, for flirting with a guy, no less, Dave begins a journey of discovery that leads him right into Shawn’s arms. Actually, it is a lot less easy than it sounds, because both men have to deal with their insecurities and fears, and that takes a while.

"Lust, lace, and love" is a great description for this story. It is set in Britain, with all the wonderful words and expressions that come with it. The secondary characters (especially Shawn’s mother and one of the guys in the gym) are hilarious, and the whole situation made me smile more than once.

If you like sweet, entertaining stories with a high degree of sensuality, if two men going from best friends to lovers is your thing, and if you’re looking for an entertaining read with lots of passion, then you will probably like this short novella.
