Book Blurb

Former Army Ranger turned government assassin Álvaro Montero and CIA Officer Caiden Cardosa crossed paths two years ago in Vienna, where their encounter ended less than amicably—despite the explosive sexual chemistry between them.

Now Caiden is riding a desk at Langley after his cover is blown. And Álvaro—who was “killed”—has a new identity and purpose as Delta/D, an operative for the Locke and Keyes Agency, under the leadership of the mysterious Alpha Orion.

When D and Caiden team up in a deadly black ops mission, the urge to kill each other will have to take a back seat to the desire for revenge against the man who betrayed them both. Surviving the mission won’t be easy. Resisting the passion between them—that might be impossible.

Book Review

Charlie Cochet constantly amazes me with each new book she publishes. This novel is the beginning of a new series and once again she wrote a completely amazing start to a series I will now be impatiently awaiting for the next book to come out. This was such an incredible start to this series. I laughed, was on the edge of my seat, and I felt really bad for the main characters and the betrayal that one of them experienced. But above all, I felt the connection the two main characters had for one another from the very get-go. Like I said, an incredible beginning to a series and I honestly cannot wait for the next book to come out!

D (short for Delta) is not who he seems to be. At first glance or meeting you would never guess how dangerous this man really is or that he is not who he once was. By this I mean that he has a completely new identity and his friends and family believe that he died a couple of years ago. With his new identity as D, he left most of his past behind but he still would like to know who it was that double-crossed him and tried to kill him for real before he became D. He knows one day his boss, Alpha, will be able to gather the intel and D will have his Justice.

Caiden has not enjoyed his life much since his identity as an undercover agent for the CIA was blown two years ago. Now he feels like he is just sliding through life. So when he gets a strange phone call with a job opportunity, Caiden decides to thrown caution to the wind. But what he never expected is to walk in and find the man who he had an amazing one-night stand with – a man who is supposed to be dead.

Things between D and Caiden are not smooth sailing when they first meet again after two years. There is a lot of animosity between the two. But they have a common goal: they both want to know who it is that turned on them two years ago if it was not each other. To find the truth they will have to go undercover and find the information they are looking for to get their revenge. The question is, can they do it? Can they work together with so much tension between them? Will they be able to take down the bad guy before the bad guy finds them?

This book was such an incredible read! I laughed so much at times. The main characters had a way of working their way into my heart very quickly. I could not put the book down. I enjoyed it so much! Definitely a highly recommended read! I am now impatiently awaiting the next book to come out!
