A misunderstanding last year broke them apart, but maybe Kyan and Sai can find each other again in a world full of kink and gags.

Kyan hid his true self away, afraid that Sai would reject his kinky side. He tried to be happy with Sai in a love without kink, but when his true side slipped out, he lost Sai. Rejected and heartbroken, he moved back to Chicago, leaving Vegas behind forever. But his mom wants to check in on her sister, Lady Leo, and Kyan finds himself being sent to Las Vegas again.

He never expected to find Sai in Kinky Kritters, the premier kink club for shifters in Vegas. Sai was very vanilla, and Kyan is shocked to hear that he's been playing with strangers. When he and Sai decide to try out things again, that decision opens up a world neither of them knew they could have.

But is it enough to get back together again, or is one kinky night the last time they'll have together?

Book Review

It was fun to return to this interesting world of kinky shifters and the fun they get up to. ‘Gagging the Gharial’ is the story of Kyan and Sai who come back together after breaking up a while back. Kyan is convinced that Sai can never accept his more dominant and kinky side while Sai just wants to understand and see if there’s a common ground.

Kyan is Lady Leo’s nephew and on his return to Vegas to discuss some family business, he discovers Sai at Kinky Kritters. Kyan is shocked as he believed a year ago that Sai couldn’t (or wouldn’t) accept his BDSM tendencies. Discovering that Sai has been coming to the club and trying out different things in order to understand the kink and lifestyle, has Kyan reeling. Sai is so happy to see Kyan again and he just wants the chance to see if they can build upon the love they had.

I have to be honest and admit that I really struggled with this installment in the series. In my opinion it came across as very disjointed and I couldn’t get a handle on either of the main characters. I had to stop reading and do something else several different times in the hopes that when I returned to the story, I’d feel more in tune with Kyan and Sai. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen for me. However, there’s a strong possibility that the fault lies with me and the not the authors, so I’m not going to discourage anyone from taking a chance on this fifth novella. I’d certainly be interested in reading any other stories the authors might decide to write within this entertaining world.
