Book Blurb

David has a secret, a secret he has been struggling to tell his lover, Aaron, since the very beginning of their relationship. Unfortunately, David just can’t seem to find the right time or words to share that secret.

Until one morning, when he accidentally blurts it out over their coffee. Now all David has to worry about is whether or not Aaron can handle what he’s been told.

Book Review

This is definitely a different way of looking at werewolves and how they deal with relationships, especially when a human partner is involved. In this version of the world being a werewolf stories is not at all like what I “learned” in most other werewolf and I found it to be a nice change and a wonderful surprise. The whole time David was thinking about having to tell his new lover “the truth”, I though I knew what he was going to say – but then the reality turned out to be somewhat different. How refreshing!

David does not want to be set up with a blind date, and the initial scene as he encounters Aaron is quite amusing. Problem is, he is really attracted to the man, so they start dating. His head tells David he needs to tell Aaron “the truth” about him, but he is too scared to lose a man he is falling for very quickly. Everyone else always walked away as soon as they found out, so I can’t even really blame David for being hesitant. When he does speak up, totally unexpected, Aaron is totally shocked and incredulous. And even though the signs are not good, David keeps hoping for a miracle.

If you like sweet romances with a paranormal touch and some mystery, and if you’re looking for a fun short read with an unexpected twist, then you will probably like this short story.
