Book Blurb

It was supposed to be one night of fun—no strings attached.

But four months later, bear shifter Shea Everett finds himself with a bun in the oven! Alone, pregnant, and half-frozen in the middle of Michigan, he has no recourse but to seek out the unsuspecting father of his cub. Merry Christmas, and guess what?

Alpha Viktor Vasiliev has three grown sons and no illusions he’ll ever find true love. But he can’t forget the sweet omega he hooked up with on a business trip to California. Right before Christmas, a pregnant Shea shows up on his doorstep, having no place to go. He refuses to name the cub’s other father, but Viktor takes him in, even if it isn’t his child.

There’s more to a family than blood, though. And even uncertain beginnings can have happy endings, since Viktor is determined to be the mate and father Shea and his cub deserve.

Book Review

An mpreg Christmas story about two bear shifters who have to face the consequences of a night of fun? A desperate omega who was rejected by his family and has nowhere else to go but the father of his baby – not that he tells said father that he is the one? A generous alpha who takes in the man he had a one-night stand with four months ago during a business trip, just because it is the right thing to do? Sign me up!

Shea is in deep trouble: kicked out by his uncle because he is pregnant without being mated, almost frozen by the time a compassionate truck driver picks him up just ten minutes from his destination in Michigan, and deeply afraid the shifter who is his baby’s father will reject him. Not that he wants to tell Viktor that the baby is his – Shea is too proud to accept the man’s pity. He may need his help, but “trapping” Viktor in a relationship because he feels obligated is not Shea’s intention. What a guy!

Viktor turns out to be a major surprise - not just for Shea, but also for me. He is an alpha, head of the family who founded Hazel Grove, seriously wealthy, already has three grown sons, and does not think he will find true love. He’s a decent guy to the point of giving Shea a home even though the baby isn’t his – or so he thinks. Viktor is in for one heck of a surprise!

Shea and Viktor are so cute together! I loved Shea’s determination to remain as independent as possible – misguided though it may be in this case. Viktor is just the perfect strong, protective alpha and I adored the idea of him finding true love and figuring out that the baby Shea carries is his. Watching these two guys discover how much more than a one-time encounter Fate has in store for them was a pure delight.

If you like mpreg stories with strong protective alphas taking care of their omega mates, if you think that two lonely bear shifters deserve happiness, and if you’re looking for a read that is sweet, funny, and very hot, then you will probably like this short story that is full of Christmas spirit and reads like a fairy tale.
